Our story

Modesty, made graceful.

A small UK label rooted in Somali heritage, faith and a deep love of beautiful fabric.

Two women in beige and cream abayas standing beneath a white arch

Hello, I’m Ifrah

It started with my mother’s wardrobe.

Growing up in the UK, I watched the women in my family dress with a quiet confidence: flowing abayas, perfectly pinned hijabs, colours chosen with care. For them, modesty was never about hiding. It was about grace.

When I couldn’t find pieces that felt that way, elegant, well made and fairly priced, I started sourcing them myself. First for friends, then for friends of friends, and now for you.

Every abaya and hijab at Saras Abaya is chosen by hand. I test how it drapes, how it washes and how it feels after a long day. If I wouldn’t wear it to a wedding or the masjid, it doesn’t make the collection.

“I want every woman who wears our pieces to feel covered, comfortable and quietly beautiful.”
